The NEXUS R3 combines the functionality of a power distribution module, data logger, wideband controller, and state-of-the-art engine management system into a single, powerful device. This is a VCU (Vehicle Control Unit).

DESCRIPTION

LENGTH : 2.5m (8')

COMPATIBILITY : Engines up to 8 cylinders or up to 4 rotors. Racing applications where advanced race functions, data logging, and power management control are required.

INCLUDES : Nexus R3 VCU, SurLok connectors (red and black), Wi-Fi antenna, mounting bolts, USB-C cable, USB-C dust cap. Universal Nexus R3 harness.

Wiring Overview

Ideal for dedicated race cars, engine swaps, and custom wiring. The universal harness features a set of ECU connectors on one end and unterminated wires on the other. All wires on the unterminated end are color-coded and clearly labeled. Connect your Haltech ECU to the terminated end and follow your wiring diagram for all engine connections. Load your basemap and you're ready to go!

  • Color-coded and labeled wires that match the detailed wiring diagram to avoid confusion during assembly.
  • The wiring diagram is accompanied by the complete VCU manual and software on the USB stick supplied with the VCU, or downloadable from the Haltech website.

  • 4 x 25A (continuous) push-pull PWM (5kHz) outputs (for powering injectors/coils, handbrake, heater fan, fuel pump).
  • 8 x Peak/Hold Injector Drivers (Can be used as low side drive outputs).
  • 8 x low current trigger outputs (can be used as low voltage drive outputs).
  • 6 x low-side drive outputs, PWM capable (DPOs).
  • 6 x push-pull / h-bridge outputs (8A, PWM capable), e.g. for electronic throttle.
  • 11 x 0-5V analog inputs with redundancy for electronic throttle and switchable 5V pullup.
  • Trigger and home inputs with differential inputs, adjustable thresholds and glitch filters.
  • 6 x synchronous pulse inputs, zero crossing or adjustable thresholds - inputs for cam sensors, frequency inputs or 0-5V analog inputs.
  • 1 x Onboard wideband controllers, supporting NTK and LSU4.9.
  • 1 x MAP sensor 4 bar on board.
  • 2 x CAN ports with switchable termination.
